From San Francisco to Santa Barbara: A photo timeline

This morning I was woken up by my dog puking on my carpet, burnt my toast 3 times, and chased my other dog around my neighbor’s backyard because I failed to realize that people were working on our fence. But I have still had a most wonderful day today because the weather is simply gorgeous!! The best day I’ve seen in months! In celebration, I shall give to you a photo montage of my life in the recent weeks. I never really talk about what happens in my life so HERE YA GO! Let’s get started.

First, last weekend I went my my friend Liz to San Francisco for the day. We went to Ocean Beach, which is named that because the beach connects to the ocean. It’s a crazy concept, I know. Before we headed to the beach, we ate lunch at Outerlands, a wonderful restaurant where I ordered the biggest grilled cheese sandwich I have ever seen. I proceeded to Instagram it, and apparently grilled cheese sandwiches are the next big thing because people started commenting “WOW WHAT A GREAT SANDWICH!” “THAT IS A GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH IF I’VE EVER SEEN ONE” “WHERE IS THIS HOW CAN I GET IT.” Like, nobody ever comments on my Instagrams and then all hell breaks lose over my sandwich. I mean, the sandwich was pretty good. Their service on the other hand left something to be desired. Definitely a great place to check out if you’re in the area, but I’m not sure if it’s worth a long wait if there is one.

IMG_1735Now onto my next order of business… I did my laundry. Now, this may not seem entirely too exciting, but I hate doing my laundry so it usually piles up until my laundry basket overflows and I resort to wearing shirts that I find in the back of my closet that haven’t seen the light of day for years. I proceeded to hang my clothes all over the house in attempts to dry them before I left for my road trip thirty minutes later.

IMG_1745Road trip, you say? Yes, road trip I say. To Santa Barbara, you say? To Santa Barbara I say. I was in Santa Barbara for a quick two days with my friend Lauren. During said time in Santa Barbara, we stopped by Hendry’s Beach, which I have been wanting to go to ever since Lauren showed me a picture of it in an Anthropologie book back when we were in Colorado. And let me tell you, it is a million times more beautiful than the picture in the book. Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in the area.

IMG_1758The morning I was supposed to leave Santa Barbara, I ended up extending my trip home into the afternoon in order to make room for some necessary orders of business. By business, I mean that I had to go to my favorite Santa Barbara coffee shop, The French Press, which.. word on the street is that they have some pretttttty great baristas there. We met up with our other friend Brittany, who I have been trying to meet up with for ages, and it finally happened. Hipster coffee shops are the best place for reunions, right? I got a chai tea latte with almond milk, which is just as amazing as it sounds.

IMG_1766One trip to Urban Outfitters later (I now have BOTH of my siblings’ Christmas presents!), and we were off to meet up with Lauren’s mom for lunch at Scarlett Begonia. Scarlett Begonia was the first place I went when I first visited Santa Barbara back in August, so it was wonderful to go back! And what makes it even better is that they now carry Lauren’s matcha in the form of a matcha latte! Please excuse me while I go cry of happiness and deliciousness. Serious drink recommendation right there.

IMG_1768After leaving Scarlett Begonia, I started the five-hour drive back home. I took a car selfie for your enjoyment. Obviously.

IMG_1771I hope you enjoyed this little reenactment of my life as of recently! Have a wonderful weekend!
